The Junior League of Cincinnati Presents CinSation 2015 “Jewels of the Queen City”

JLC’s 95th anniversary and community impact to be cornerstone of annual gala

CINCINNATI, OH – FEBRUARY 2, 2015 – The Junior League of Cincinnati (JLC) will host its annual CinSation gala on Saturday, February 28th at the Cincinnati Masonic Center in Downtown Cincinnati. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the gala will begin at 8:00 p.m. The 2015 event, “Jewels of the Queen City”, will celebrate the JLC’s 95th anniversary and its impact on the people and neighborhoods that call Greater Cincinnati home. The event’s masters of ceremonies will be Conductor John Morris Russell of the Cincinnati Pops and Morning News Anchor Kara Sewell of FOX19.

“CinSation is the perfect moment to celebrate not only the JLC’s 95th anniversary but the unique people and places that make up Cincinnati,” said Susan Shelton, President of the JLC. “The JLC is so proud to be part of this community and this year’s theme provides a platform to celebrate our history of involvement and impact in this city. We look forward to honoring our members at CinSation, particularly those from the 1940s, 50s and 60s”

The JLC’s footprint on the Cincinnati community has been evident throughout the past 95 years; incubating or accelerating organizations such as The Children’s Theatre, The Cincinnati Art Museum Docent Program, ProKids, MindPeace, Fernside, and The Cincinnati Children’s Museum. The JLC’s current signature projects include GrinUp! (formerly Pediatric Oral Health) and RefugeeConnect.

The black tie optional gala will feature an open bar, live auction, silent auction and entertainment. Guests will enjoy lite bites provided by Cincinnati’s best restaurants competing in the 5th Annual “Best Bite of the Night”. To date the following restaurants have been confirmed for the competition: Alfio’s, Eli’s BBQ, Keystone Bar & Grill, and many more to come. New this year, desserts will be included in the Best Bite competition, so far including the Macaron Bar and GiGi’s Cupcakes.

Tickets are available at https://www.jlcincinnati.org/cinsation for $125 (dinner and gala) or $85 (gala only). All proceeds from this event will benefit the mission of the JLC.
