JUNIOR LEAGUE OF CINCINNATI, ENQUIRER MEDIA AND WALNUT HILLS HIGH SCHOOL TO HOST MAYORAL DEBATE

Cranley and Qualls will meet October 1 at Walnut Hills High School

CINCINNATI, OH – SEPTEMBER 30, 2013 – The Junior League of Cincinnati (JLC) is hosting a Cincinnati Mayoral Candidate Debate on October 1, 2013, at 7:30 pm in the auditorium of Walnut Hill High School. The debate will feature Mayoral candidates John Cranley and Roxanne Qualls.

The debate is being co-hosted by the Junior League of Cincinnati, Enquirer Media and Walnut Hills High School. Julie Zimmerman, an editorial writer for The Cincinnati Enquirer, will moderate the debate. Students in the Walnut Hills Advanced Placement Government classes will submit questions in advance to the debate moderator. The formal debate will include brief opening and closing statements, as well as five minutes for each response and rebuttals. The goal of the evening is to create a non-partisan and unbiased environment for the Mayoral candidates to discuss their plans for the future of the City of Cincinnati. Additionally, all other candidates of City Council have been invited to attend and watch the debate.

This event is free and open to the public. More than 300 persons are expected to attend. Enquirer Media will also tape the debate.

Walnut Hills High School is located at 3433 Pleasant View Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45207. Parking is available on the school campus.
