Dr. Claire Kappa from Concierge Medicine of Cincinnati (CMOC) 

Meet Dr. Claire Kappa, a highly accomplished internal medicine physician with a wealth of experience and a passion for providing personalized healthcare. A board-certified professional since 2015, Dr. Kappa hails from Baton Rouge, LA, and boasts an impressive academic background. Graduating magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with an undergraduate degree in classical studies and a minor in nutrition, she went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA.

During her time at Emory, Dr. Kappa demonstrated exceptional dedication to her field, earning induction into the junior Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and graduating magna cum laude. Her commitment to excellence continued through her internal medicine residency at Duke University in Durham, NC, where she was part of the Ambulatory Care Leadership Track and served as an assistant chief resident at Duke Regional Hospital.

After completing her residency in 2015, Dr. Kappa became board certified and began her practice at Duke Primary Care Pickett Road, where she not only cared for her patients but also played a vital role in precepting internal medicine resident clinics. Upon relocating to Cincinnati in 2017, she joined Mercy Health’s Amberley Primary Care, contributing her expertise and continuing her commitment to medical education by precepting medical students from the University of Cincinnati.

In 2024, Dr. Kappa is embarking on an exciting new chapter by transitioning her practice to Concierge Medicine of Cincinnati (CMOC). Specializing in chronic disease management, including diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, she is also passionate about preventive medicine. Outside the office, Dr. Kappa enjoys quality time with her husband (an Ob/Gyn) and three children. A devoted sports fan, she cheers for LSU football/basketball/baseball, Duke basketball, the Bengals, and the Reds.

With a love for reading and a talent for cooking Cajun-inspired cuisine, Dr. Kappa is thrilled to bring her expertise to the new Kenwood location of CMOC starting in June 2024. Dedicated to providing exceptional, individualized care, Dr. Kappa is now accepting concierge patients and looks forward to serving the healthcare needs of the community in her new role.

 

Nikki Smith from Happy Hormone Cottage 

Nikki Smith is a native Cincinnatian who enjoys crochet, fermenting food, hanging out with her 3 children, & socializing in her free time. Nikki has a background in hospitality & worked for a digital marketing agency for 9 years. She started with The Happy Hormone Cottage in 2018 helping with the digital marketing & came on board full time in the summer of 2022 & is now a Patient Educator for The Happy Hormone Cottage.

Nikki served on the board for Lyn Hogrefe’s Women’s Health Initiatives Foundation. Nikki lost her mother to breast cancer in 1994 when her mother was only 46 years old. She felt that serving on the board was a great way to honor her mother’s memory by helping other women. Nikki has a passion for helping women & for learning. She looks forward to helping educate our patients & assist them in partnering with their nurse practitioners to live their best lives naturally.

 

Dr. Monika Moni, MD from Mercy Health Physicians 

Dr. Monika Moni, MD is a well experienced, proficient primary care physician, dedicated to delivering high quality comprehensive healthcare services to all ages. With effective communication skills and a reputation as a great listener, she prioritizes preventive health and wellness, particularly Women’s health, Metabolic disorders and Weight management. With a focus on evidence- based practices, Dr. Monika Moni is committed to improving patient outcomes through education, advocacy and personalized care. She currently practices at the Mercy Health Partners – Kenwood Family Medicine office.

Dr. Moni hails from India, where she did her Medical school and graduated from University of North Dakota, Family Medicine Residency Program as the Best Outgoing resident in 2015. She also served as the Chief Resident during her residency. From 2015 till 2021, Dr. Moni practiced outpatient primary care at Decatur, Illinois. She served as the Medical Director of Wellness and Weight Management program as well as served as a Board of Director on the panel for maintenance of quality care for patients. She was involved in teaching Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Family medicine residents, helping them to become truly well rounded patient advocates. 

Continuing her passion for teaching, Dr. Moni is also a volunteer Assistant Professor at UC, Department of Family Medicine. As a part of Mercy Health, She is now accepting and readily available for new patients. With a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, Dr. Moni remains at the forefront of medical advancements, ensuring highest standards of care for all. 

Outside of her profession, Dr. Moni is also a happily married wife and a mother to two toddlers. She loves reading, gardening and is well known for being a passionate cook and great host for social gatherings. She loves adventure and travel and has been to several countries in each continent and hopes to cover more in the near future.

 

René Robers from the Junior League of Cincinnati

René Robers joined the Junior League of Cincinnati in 2011, seeking opportunities to serve the community and to connect with other women who share a passion for progress. She has held various leadership roles across 4 of the 6 Councils, including Vice Chair & Chair of Online, tasked with launching our new websites, New Member Advisor, Nominating, Recording Secretary on the EMT and has also sat on the Program Development committee selecting our past two programs, Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank and Family Nurturing Center in a president-appointed role serving as Operations Liaison and last year as President-Elect.

With more than 10 years of CPG marketing experience, René currently shares her professional time and talent with Heineken USA as Senior Manager, eCommerce Lead. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Cincinnati, with a minor in Journalism and a certificate in Public Relations in 2008. René is a voracious reader, loves to host and entertain, and actively supports women’s causes, including in board roles with NextUp Cincinnati and Dress for Cincinnati, and is the Board Chair of Heineken’s Women’s Leadership Forum. René was recognized by the Cincinnati Business Courier as a 2021 Forty Under 40 honoree.

She is a Cincinnati native and lives in Hyde Park with her husband Matt, their daughter, Mari-Kate (Marion Katherine) and Westie, Findlay.
